Our second Vanguard named Todd flies the difficult slot position in the formation
as number four. A seasoned airshow vet who also flew as an airshow team pilot for
the Red Baron Squadron, Todd has 9,400 flight hours. He flies as a corporate
pilot, but Todd would rather be at the airshow performing than anywhere else. His
experience as formation coach and sequence designer is invaluable to the Vanguards. Todd's
favorite maneuver is the diamond loop because of the multiple angles he is required to
fly as slot pilot during the maneuver in order to maintain diamond integrity.
